Chambersburg, PA – Downtown Chambersburg Inc. (DCI) today announced that President Sam Thrush will be stepping down from his role after seven years of dedicated service to the organization and the downtown community.
During his tenure with DCI, an affiliate of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, Thrush played a key role in advancing revitalization efforts across downtown Chambersburg. He facilitated façade grants for downtown property owners, helping to enhance the appearance and vibrancy of the area. He also played an instrumental role in establishing the new Spring Street Amphitheater, which is a significant addition to the downtown landscape and community offerings.
Thrush is recognized for cultivating strong, productive relationships with downtown merchants and property owners. His dedication helped elevate community engagement through successful fundraising and signature events such as CrabFeast, Small Business Saturday, Falling Spring Beer Fest, and others that encouraged residents and visitors to support the downtown core.
“I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together and grateful for the partnerships that made it possible,” said Thrush. “Downtown Chambersburg is full of momentum, and I’m excited to see the community continue building on that energy in the years ahead.”
The DCI Board of Directors will begin the process of identifying the organization’s next president and share updates as the transition moves forward.
